Title: Network Security Engineer
Location: Scotts Valley, California
Position Description:
Provide technical support for the design and deployment of a network-based, advanced compliance solution to provide enhanced situational awareness. Serve as a subject matter expert on a deployment team to ensure that the architecture, system requirements, and software developed by Catbird meets customer requirements. Maintain responsibility for determining the software architecture requirements for future net-centric security systems and provide customer feedback to help develop strategies and technology roadmaps for developing common network services and network management systems. Coordinate with customer, their support staffs, and subcontractor representatives to ensure project execution. Interact frequently with senior-level leadership and subcontractors in a team environment and. This position is located in the Northern Virginia area or in Silicon Valley.
Qualifications:
- Education should include BS or BA or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience with network information assurance (IA)
- Experience with DoD IA technologies, specifically vulnerability management, network-based access control and intrusion detection.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with working on IA solutions for the DoD Global Information Grid preferred.
- Possession of excellent problem-solving skills.
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.
