Edmundo Costa Chief Executive Officer

Edmundo joined Catbird in 2007 and is a software industry veteran. He brings over 20 years of executive experience growing companies from their early stages through to IPO. As the CEO, he leads Catbird’s pioneering efforts to deliver a new approach in the enterprise security market, ensuring that virtual and cloud infrastructures are secure and compliant. Prior to Catbird, Edmundo was a founding member of Tarantella, Inc. and held executive positions at The Santa Cruz Operation (SCO). He also worked at Accenture. He received his MBA from Harvard Business School and is a graduate of Cornell University with dual degrees in Operations Research & Information Engineering and Economics.

Tamar Newberger Vice President, Marketing

Tamar joined Catbird in 2006 bringing with her over 20 years of expertise developing successful marketing programs and establishing brand recognition for cutting-edge technology companies. As the VP of Marketing, she leads all of Catbird’s brand positioning, marketing strategy and communications efforts. Prior to Catbird, Tamar held positions in sales and marketing at Tarantella, Inc. She was also the Director of Product Management and Product Marketing at SCO, responsible for a $200M product line. Additionally, she worked as an engineer at Novell and AT&T Bell Laboratories. She holds MS and BA degrees in Computer Science from Columbia University.

Randy Bresee Chief Financial Officer

Randy joined Catbird in 2012 bringing over 30 years of experience in Finance, Information Systems (IS) and administrative management. As the CFO, he is responsible for Catbird’s investor relations as well as all financial and administrative functions. Prior to Catbird, Randy was a co-founder of SAH Technologies. He was the CFO at Acuity Systems, Tarantella, Bamboo.com and SCO. He also held positions as Controller, IS Manager and Senior Financial Analyst at several high-tech companies in Silicon Valley. He has a BA degree in Political Science with a minor in Finance from Humboldt State University.
